Subclavian steal (SSS), also called subclavian steal steno-occlusive disease, is a medical condition characterized by retrograde (reversed) blood flow in the vertebral or the internal thoracic artery. This reversal occurs due to (narrowing) or occlusion of the subclavian artery.
