Slipped capital femoral epiphysis

Slipped capital femoral epiphysis, or slipped upper femoral epiphysis, or coxa vara adolescentium, is a medical term referring to a fracture through the growth plate (physis), which results in slippage of the overlying end of the femur (metaphysis).
